The Slow Trudge Back

Getting into the groove takes two weeks, including weekends. I'm getting close. I've been better, much better. Not Perfect. A couple slip ups but no set backs. My workouts are slowly gaining intensity and I'm happy to say I have not pushed myself super hard.


My biggest issue with exercise is that I enjoy it too much. I like working myself into the ground. It's a physical and mental release. As I push out in years I'm learning to enjoy different modalities and intensities, not just balls to the wall every day.


10 days in and my body is already noticeably changed. It's amazing how inflammation disappears and mental clarity returns quickly. My fitness is not what it was in the first quarter of 2020, but I have not lost it all, not even close.


Instead of a fast charge back, I'm taking a more measured approach now, and I'm very excited to see how it pays off.
